Toshiba Corp has introduced eight new models of its A300 series of engineering workstations, which run Japanese Unix combining System V and Berkeley 4.2: the new models are rated at 4 MIPS, twice the power of their predecessors, and run Japanese versions of Prolog and Lisp; prices range from $31,300 and $110,000, and Toshiba looks to sell 4,000 machines from the 10-member line over the next three years.
