Japan’s National Space Development Agency has chosen Toshiba Corp to lead development of ETS-7, a future satellite intended to be used in technical tests: it is due to go up in 1997, and NEC Corp and Mitsubishi Electric Corp will also play major roles; the value of the contract was not disclosed.
