Total Oil Marine, the UK subsidiary of Paris-based Total Group, has ordered UKP540,000 worth of software; it is spending UKP240,000 with Applied Data Research on the Datacom relational database and several associated tools including the Ideal development environment, and a further UKP300,000 with British Petroleum’s Scicon Ltd on a custom-built onshore reporting system for monitoring its 22 wells in the Alwyn North gas and oil field, one hundred miles off the Shetlands.
