OGCbuying.solutions, a trading arm of the UK’s Office of Government Commerce, has signed a new agreement with business software provider Agresso under which all public sector organizations will be offered preferential pricing arrangements on Agresso Business World software and services.
The agreement is set to deliver potential savings of GBP12 million over its three-year duration. These savings will support the UK public sector in its continued drive towards meeting efficiency review targets and allow much-needed resources to be reinvested into front-line public services.
As part of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the two entities, Agresso has restructured its pricing model to offer unrestricted user site licenses, rather than named users. The unrestricted access also extends to allowing external self-service access to Agresso Business World for its suppliers and customers.
In addition, the MOU encompasses a shared service provision that applies to both new customers setting up within a shared service and to existing Agresso customers migrating into a shared service.
Under the MOU, Agresso has also included a reduced annual support and maintenance charge for public sector customers. In addition, the company is offering discounts across its range of implementation options, including a managed service and a hosted managed service capability through its strategic partner Netstore.
