The patient record enables healthcare organizations and exchanges to integrate patient-centered information
UMass Memorial Health Care has selected dbMotion, a provider of health intelligence services, to create a single electronic, interoperable patient record across numerous information technology environments and care areas.
The dbMotion system is a service-oriented-architecture platform that enables healthcare organizations and exchanges to integrate patient-centered information. The system is expected to extend the life of working clinical services that do not fit into a homogenous IT architecture and can provide a platform for development to solve new clinical problems. dbMotion transforms care through the creation of a virtual patient record that logically connects patient information in existing systems throughout a community.
Peter McClennen, president of dbMotion for North America, said: We are honored to enter into this partnership with UMass Memorial. We welcome the opportunity to deliver our technology and join with UMass Memorial to advance the state of integrated care in Massachusetts. We believe that by providing access to integrated patient information through the solution’s ability to connect care settings we can help to bridge gaps that often exist between acute and community care while providing a compelling return on investment.
