Unix System Laboratories Inc says the reference implementation of System V.4 for the MIPS RISC processor is now complete. Developed for it by Pyramid Technology Corp, Sony Microsystems Inc’s News 3200 series MIPS-based laptop is the reference version and is compatible with MIPS’ big-endian System V.4 Binary Applications Interface.
