Barneyscan Corp, which builds the Color Imaging Systems family of products in Alameda, California has received another $1.5m in venture funding, most of it coming from Shaw Venture Partners of Portland, Oregon to add to the $5.5m funding from existing investors OSCCO Ventures of Menlo Park, and Technology Partners of Belvedere, California, plus new investors Battery Ventures of Boston, Bay Partners of Cupertino, and Leland Stanford Junior University Trust, announced in November. The cash is to fund growth and development of new colour pre-press publishing systems at desktop prices.
