ArcSys Inc, Sunnyvale, California developer of electronic design automation circuit placement software, has raised $4.5m in a second round of financing from Amerindo Investment Advisors Inc, Technology Venture Investors, and Sutter Hill Ventures. Amerindo Investment Advisors is a new investor for this round of financing, the other two are coming around again for a second bite. The ArcCell place and route system is claimed to incorporate many algorithmic breakthroughs in placement, routing, compaction, and timing-driven layout.
