NetEdge Systems Inc, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, building routers that enable users to internetwork local area networks on Asynchronous Transfer Mode networks, has raised $11m in mezzanine financing from a list of who’s who of venture capitalists. Joining lead investor Menlo Ventures are Advent International and Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre. The cash is to continue ramp up of its engineering, sales and operations capability.In the past year, NetEdge says that it has grown 400% in revenues and to 100 from 25 employees. It has built new manufacturing facilities and new corporate headquarters in Research Triangle Park, and established a European sales and support operation.
