August was a comparatively quiet month for global virus attacks according to the latest figures from antivirus developer and consultancy Central Command.
The firm said that Netsky.P was the most common virus last month, accounting for 28.4% of the virus occurrences confirmed by its Emergency Virus Response Team. The next most common virus was Netsky.Z, accounting for eight percent of occurrences. This was Zafi.B, accounting for 7.4% of occurrences. Other Netsky variants accounted for the remainder of the top five.
