Vistec Group Plc’s consolation prize after the disappointment of losing out to Apricot Computers Plc in the wooing of DDT Group Plc turns out to be 01 Computer Group (UK) Ltd, for which it is paying 4.9m shares, valued at UKP1.25m, most of which are to be placed with institutions, upfront, with an earn-out that could take the total to UKP2m. 01 supplies and installs microcomputers and peripherals and offers software support, and while it did UKP161,000 pre-tax on sales of UKP5.3m last year, it is expecting to report a trading loss for the current year.
