VoiceLog, a US provider of third party verification, has launched a phone-based electronic signature process specifically designed for automated demand draft and debit authorization.
The company says that the system, called Reg E Xpress, uses a combination of VoiceXML, a speech-based interactive voice system, web pages, email and standard mail to meet all the requirements of the Federal Reserve and other regulators for both one-time and recurring debit authorizations.
Using Reg E Xpress the company connects their customer to the VoiceLog system, which asks for all the necessary information and records the customer’s answers. At the end of the process, the customer is given a toll-free number they can use to retrieve the agreement and a written copy is sent to them for their records.
We developed Reg E Xpress because we know it will help companies get paid faster and less expensively, said Larry Leikin, VP of Sales for VoiceLog.
With Reg E Xpress, companies will be able to obtain authorization for recurring debits anytime they’re on the phone with a customer: when they first sign up for service, when they call for other reasons, and even when the company calls the customer. And getting the authorization over the telephone is the fastest, most effective means available to get that authorization.
