Hennning Kagermann said that SAP AG only talked merger and acquisition withMicrosoft Corp, and no one else.
In an interview last week to discuss its second quarter earnings the CEO of the
German software giant admitted that while the company held discussions with
many of its partners, the question of takeover was only with Microsoft.
Revelations that Microsoft and SAP secretly held merger talks at the end of last
year arose as part of evidence presented in US Department of Justice’s court
battle to block a potential mega-merger between Oracle Corp and PeopleSoft Inc.
This has stirred up speculation among investors that SAP was open to offers.
