In a bid to make social internet TV an online phenomenon like the personal posting of videos on networking websites, Wi-Fi TV is launching free text messaging and phone calls with live and on-demand television.
Wi-Fi TV says that users will be able to watch live TV, chat through text messages while watching the same programs, make free phone calls, and host online video parties with friends or others who share the same interests at www.Wi-FiTV.com.
The firm has already begun selling Wi-Fi TV channels for $25,000 and says that the larger its viewing audience is, the more demand there will be for the purchase of these channels.
Wi-Fi TV has recently introduced a new feature aimed at the millions of 18 to 24-year-olds who use websites like MySpace and YouTube for social networking. It allows up to 25 different guests to see and hear each other in a private MyWi-Fi Party.
