WordPerfect Corp, one of the biggest and most successful computer companies still privately held, will lose its virginity early this year when it files to go public on the Big Board of the New York Exchange, US PC Week reports. The initial public offering of 10m shares, about a quarter of the enlarged equity, is expected to be priced in the range of $18 to $20, raising between $150m and $250m – some $100m for executives and up to $150m in new money for the company.
