With regard to the IBM Corp cuts, the biggest worry in Europe will be in the South of France, where IBM France SA operates the plant that supplies Europe with mainframes in Montpellier; cuts there seem certain and there could be cuts in Havant, although if IBM does expand anywhere, Glenrothes is likely to benefit; Spain, making small mainframes, is a loser, Italy, making AS/400s and RS/6000s, is laughing.
