Wyse Technology Inc says it expects profits for the quarter to last Friday to be lower than for the same period in 1987, although sales should be 22% to 32% ahead at $125m to $135m less than it had planned for. The company attributes its reduced revenue and earnings expectations to a slower than expected sales rate in its international markets as well as softer demand for its personal computers than previously anticipated, although demand for its terminals, the products that Wyse was originally formed to build, remains very strong worldwide.
