BT has expanded its unified communications portfolio, BT One by adding a new cloud-based services to improve management effectiveness and collaboration within and between large organisations.
The updated BT One portfolio is designed to meet demands of large enterprises with a single unified communications framework for devices, legacy systems and one global network for all global users.
BT One portfolio’s new services include: One Cloud Lync, One Voice anywhere, One Enterprise Cisco One Collaborate video and One Collaborate.
One Cloud Lync is a cloud service based on Microsoft Lync that integrates in a single platform a company’s email with instant messenger (IM), audio, device based video, screen sharing, and interactive white boarding.
BT One Voice anywhere is a new smartphone app and web client that reduces mobile costs with employees who travel internationally. It allows customers to achieve up to 45% savings on total mobile roaming costs by shrinking high and unpredictable roaming charges.
With OneVoice anywhere, users can make outbound calls from any device and have that device treated as part of the customers’ One Voice service.
One Enterprise Cisco is an on-site application based on Cisco UC9, an upgrade to the Cisco unified communications platform.
The on-site application minimises server costs by up to 66%, while expanding video endpoint support, improving the quality of video calls, and making it easier to reach out through dial by email.
One Collaborate video is high definition video endpoints that bring face-to-face interaction to the desktop.
The new secure HD systems also allows end users to move from individual work on a laptop to a high quality video call and to share documents in real time.
BT is joining forces with Dolby Laboratories on a technology trial based on the BT MeetMe service and enhance customer experience for users of its One Collaborate conferencing applications.
