Supports multiple dial-ins in a single conference
BT and Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) have partnered to provide global conferencing services to Indian corportes. BSNL is expanding its Managed Enterprise Business offerings to provide audio and web conferencing services to its customers.
The companies said that the new offering has differentiators and supports multiple dial-ins in a single conference. The audio conference service is integrated with web-conferencing to support real-time and interactive discussions. There can be 40 concurrent dial-ins from any country in a single virtual conferencing supporting audio and web while each of these dial-ins locations can have multiple users in the conference.
As part of this agreement, both companies have been working jointly on customer opportunities in India whereby BSNL utilises their country-wide telecom infrastructure with BT providing its practices to design, offer and support customer services to enterprises for service delivery.
According to BT, its services to be rolled-out will allow BSNL to deliver new conferencing technologies in the Indian market that will help increase business efficiency for enterprises while also providing for a greener environment by increasing collaboration and reducing the need for corporate travel.
The company said that the web-conferencing, a part of the service, is a collaboration tool that allows participants in a conference call to share the applications and/or documents on their computer with all other participants, adding a visual element to the meeting.
