Expects to strengthen their position in M2M landscape
Deutsche Telekom and Cinterion Wireless Modules have forged a strategic partnership to focus on the joint management of M2M customer projects and the sustainable development of the M2M marketplace.
The companies said that the agreement will enable the two suppliers to pool vertical market know-how and systematically strengthen their position in the global M2M landscape. The partners intend to market M2M products jointly from early next year.
Rainer Deutschmann, senior vice president of mobile products at Deutsche Telekom, said: We have enjoyed a close, successful partnership with Cinterion over many years. Cooperation with the market leader for cellular communication modules enriches our strong network of partners in the M2M sector, enabling us to meet our customers’ needs and provide them with an optimum portfolio of products and services.
Deutsche Telekom said that they are strengthening their partnership to joint product offerings, business development and sales activities in the M2M market by aligning their product portfolios and collaborating on joint customer projects. Both companies aim to increase their presence in the M2M market and to ratchet up the demand for M2M services and technology.
Norbert Muhrer, CEO of Cinterion, said: We’ll work together to make M2M solutions much less complicated, to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) and cut the time to market and the customer. The partnership is yet another example of Cinterion’s all-round commitment to forward-looking, customer-oriented and sustainable solutions, which are clearly differentiated from the competition.
