Endemol employees can access corporate network using Telstra
Endemol, a British producer of gameshows, entertainment, specialist factual, comedy and scripted series, has selected Telstra International, a provider of telecommunication services to provide its managed network services.
The network is expected to enable Endemol’s remote workers throughout the UK to work efficiently with access to the corporate network, using Telstra International’s IPVPN and ADSL lines.
They can connect to the corporate network at any given time to access emails and documents associated with its popular entertainment programmes such as ‘Deal or No Deal’ and ‘Total Wipeout’.
All employees in the UK are required to connect to the central London office to access documents and emails. By enabling access through the MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) network is realised.
The new IT infrastructure will enable all resources and supports multiple Endemol employees, whilst managing peaks in usage.
Endemol IT project manager Adam Bijster said working with Telstra International means day-to-day activities such as sending emails are simpler, particularly for our remote staff. Previously our helpdesk had to set up every connection in person, and now we can provide support for everything remotely.
"Not only are these processes easier, but all of our Endemol offices and offsite employees can now work much more closely together, with quick and secure access to the information they need," Bijster said.
Based on the strength of the network infrastructure, Bijster is now considering additional technology to further enhance productivity and enable additional cost savings, for example VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and video conferencing.
