Users advised against using the option on public computers.
Google is allowing users to download their saved search history to see a list of the terms they have searched for in the past.
The company wrote on its support page: "This gives you access to your data when and where you want."
To download the history, users need to log into their Google account and visit the Web & App Activity page. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select ‘Download’ and click ‘Create Archive’.
Once the download is complete, Google will send an email confirmation with a link to the data.
The downloaded past searches and a copy of the user’s history will be saved securely to the Takeout folder in Google Drive.
The company said that depending on the amount of information, more than one file may be present in the Takeout folder.
Takeout was so far available for users to download archives of Gmail, YouTube, Google Photos, +1s, Hangouts, and Calendars.
Google warned users not to download past searches on public computers. It urged the users to protect their account and sensitive data with two-step verification.
