Insight, a provider of digital video and high-speed data services, has launched its Insight Broadband 20.0 to customers throughout its footprint in Kentucky and Indiana.
According to Insight, the service, which supplements the company’s core broadband service Insight Broadband 10.0, offers customers up to 20mbps download speeds, which are up to double the speeds customers currently receive with Insight’s Broadband 10.0 service. It also provides upstream speeds of up to 1.5mbps.
Insight has reported that it is limiting the number of customers who can subscribe to Insight Broadband 20.0 in each market for the immediate future. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is priced at $20 more than the current Insight Broadband 10.0 service. Insight’s core broadband service, Insight 10.0 is available to customers for $30 a month when purchased in a package.
Paul Meltzer, senior vice president of product management at Insight, said: We’ve been offering the fastest internet download speeds in our serviceable areas with our Insight Broadband 10.0 service. Broadband 20.0 confers extra bragging rights on internet enthusiasts. In addition, it provides enough bandwidth for all members of an enthusiastic household to share a connection and still experience superior performance.
