New version alerts users about out of date plug-ins
Mozilla’s Internet browser gets another facelift with the launch of FireFox 3.6 beta version 1. It is built on the Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering engine, containing improvements for web developers, add-on developers, and users.
Mozilla FireFox 3.6 will alerts users about the out of date plug-ins to keep them safe, and also includes an add-on feature Personas that allows users to customise the appearance of the browser.
The new version also includes a set of new features such as, drag and drop feature, which makes uploading files to the web sites easier. It supports WOFF font format, CSS, DOM and HTML5 web technologies. In addition, the new version comes with accelerometer support and enables open, native video to be displayed full screen and also supports poster frames.
In August, Mozilla has released the alpha version of Firefox 3.6 which was code named as Namaroka. The company plans to release Firefox 3.7 by 2010 and another version of Firefox 4.0 in a year’s time.
