The social networking firm will live stream a slate of Cheddar’s programmes focused on technology, media, and business.
Twitter has formed a partnership with live news and entertainment firm Cheddar to expand its live streaming content.
The partnership will see Twitter host a series of Cheddar’s live stream programmes for viewers, centred on several categories such as technology, media, and business.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Cheddar will broadcast its two live shows, Opening Bell and Closing Bell, von Twitter each weekday.
Twitter will be the exclusive, free video platform for Closing Bell.
Twitter CFO Anthony Noto said: "Twitter is the fastest way to find out what's happening in the world, and to engage in the live conversation about it.
"Partnering with Cheddar will give people on Twitter another way to watch and discuss the day's top stories as they unfold live all on one platform.”
The partnership is Twitter’s latest move to bring live sports and news video content to its platform.
In July, Twitter partnered with Bloomberg Media, to stream three Bloomberg shows and its markets coverage.
The social networking giant has also signed deals with Wimbledon, the NFL to stream Thursday Night Football, CBSN and Pac-12 Networks.
Last week, Cheddar announced $10m in funding led by previous investor Lightspeed Venture Partners, with significant participation from new investors Comcast Ventures and Ribbit Capital.
The company developed a cloud-based approach to video production and streaming, enabling it to broadcast multi-camera, multi-location live shows and field shoots with real time graphics.
Cheddar has also launched a new form of advertising called, Native 3.0, where sponsors are integrated into the daily editorial of shows without heavy lifting or content creation.
