The new web services gateway to enable enterprises to deliver open and secure web services environment
Alcatel-Lucent has launched Release 3.0 of its OmniAccess 8550 Web Services Gateway, a service oriented architecture appliance that lets enterprises and service providers deliver an open and secure web services environment for their customers’ business-to-business transactions and Web 2.0 services.
Key technology developments in the Alcatel-Lucent 8550 Web Services Gateway (WSG) Release 3.0 include: detailed, context-sensitive capture of usage patterns that lets organizations monitor and adapt to security breaches, including fraudulent transactions from trusted users; better policy evaluation and contextual policy enforcement for protection of private information; granular views of user-centric web services, ensuring authorized individuals (including those offering third-party services) have access to the information they require; and enhanced monitoring of user interactions and web services, ensuring specified service level agreements.
Michel Emelianoff, vice president of enterprise security solutions at Alcatel-Lucent, said: The 8550 Web Services Gateway provides the enterprise a reusable corporate-wide infrastructure that can be applied to many facets of governance, from security to compliance. The new functionality offered with Release 3.0 better meets the needs of Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise and service provider customers.
