Law firms benefit from common document platform
Compliance and content search and management company Autonomy Corp has fitted its core analytics engine into the WorkSite document management system it acquired with Interwoven.
A product that is particularly popular among law firms and renamed since the Interwoven merger as iManage WorkSite, the system is intended to provide a common platform for law firms and their corporate legal department clients.
It eliminates the risk prone and costly transfer of data between systems for investigations and litigation, the company said. “Now for the first time, outside counsel have the ability to access and analyse corporate information in-place for a case.”
The company said that a series of add-on Autonomy iManage modules also stand to benefit from inclusion of Autonomy’s IDOL (intelligent data operating layer) analytics system.
Additional capabilities of IDOL include audio, video and phone call search, legal hold and expert profiling, and will be released over the coming months and available for an additional cost.
The vendor claims that 1,400 law firms currently use the system. Autonomy iManage’s WorkSite 8.4 is available now.
