Digitalsmiths, a provider of multi-screen media analysis, operations and publishing technology, has released a new version of VideoSense, a digital media management system that has been upgraded with new tools to streamline asset management, harness advanced intelligence and analytics and optimise monetisation opportunities.
According to Digitalsmiths, the tools include direct asset upload, segment editing, clip creation, YouTube integration and an all new reporting dashboard for analytics. Direct asset upload allows users to upload an asset directly from their desktop to VideoSense and add asset-level metadata manually.
The company said that the new features help in creating segments and metadata tracks in MetaFrame and includes an enhanced user interface to provide ways to create and edit time-based metadata. It includes Ad Break Management that enables VideoSense users to turn off all ads within an asset when scheduling it for distribution. It also allows users to create tags on assets and filter the user asset list to retrieve assets in the system and improve management.
In addition, the new version allows users to create clips from any segment on any MetaFrame track. It will permit users to introduce their content to new audiences, increase viewer engagement and consumption and open up new monetisation opportunities. It also allows users to create multiple thumbnails for each asset and helps to pinpoint the exact frame of video, users want to showcase, creating customised thumbnail palette, and YouTube integration wherein users can publish their content in VideoSense directly to YouTube.
