Policy-based apps to protect, control and secure data
Digitiliti, a provider of operational business intelligence offerings for small-to-midsized enterprises, has released a new information management offering DigiLIBE, which it claims to solve the problems associated with managing, controlling and accessing unstructured data.
The company said that DigiLIBE is an integrated Virtual Corporate Library system with policy-based applications to protect, control and secure data from its point of origin to final disposition.
As a single architecture comprising three components, information director, archive information store, and client agents, the new data management offering reduces the number of disparate IT products needed, and the complexity and costs involved with managing and supporting information growth, the company claims.
According to Digitiliti, the new data management system offers information management features including, metadata management; de-duplication and data compression that is expected to reduce storage volumes by 75%; content indexing; and automatically trap key words in the contents of any file and email for compliance or customer satisfaction.
Digitiliti claims that the new DigiLIBE increases search productivity by 50% and supercharges data mining from client to archive. It offers integration and syncing with active directory, LDAP or writing of custom policies for secure storage and access to files and emails. Files are encrypted with 256K or 512K encryption schemes before and after transmission.
In addition, the new offering also enables data consolidation and organisation of files and emails with drag-n-drop functions, e-Discovery and self-service recovery; and provides complete policy management from creation to deletion of files and emails. It provides a real-time dashboard for data verification and operational status, static reports for user statistics and auditing, and trend reports for resource optimisation.
Roy Bauer, CEO and president of Digitiliti, said: “DigiLIBE’s user-centric, patent-pending architecture provides one simple complete solution to the most pressing information management and governance issues today at an exceptionally attractive price point. More importantly, it enables organisations to leverage the knowledge from information they create, store and archive.”
