Allows users to monitor inbound and outbound e-mail and instant messages
EMC has expanded its portfolio of information governance offerings with the launch of SourceOne Email Supervisor, which allows customers to monitor inbound and outbound e-mail and instant messages for compliance with internal policies and external regulations including those mandated by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
The SourceOne Email Supervisor is the new addition to EMC SourceOne, a family of modular, integrated products for archiving, compliance and e-discovery that makes information governance actionable. The new offering allows customers to sample indexed messages from the archive, present them for supervisory review and save evidence of review actions.
According to EMC, the SourceOne Email Supervisor offers flexibility in defining and customising business policies to determine which messages will be sampled for review; and provides supervisors the ability to create and manage review groups and assign reviewers into each group.
In addition, the new offering also features easy navigation to highlighted text in both the message body and attachments; and provides proof of compliance with reports to meet NASD 3010 requirements of keeping auditable records of supervisory reviews.
Jeff Bettencourt, vice president and general manager of information governance product group, content management and archiving division at EMC, said: EMC SourceOne provides customers with modular solutions to address their pressing needs whether they start with archiving, compliance or e-discovery.
“With SourceOne Email Supervisor, customers can extend compliance and information governance throughout the enterprise without imposing costly and time-consuming processes.
