Claims to simplify manual operations with online ordering environment
Fujitsu has launched a new SaaS edition of WebSERVE smart e-COMMERCE, which provides customers an online ordering environment. The new service is now available in Japan.
The company said that the service simplifies the manual operations with sending faxes or e-mails due to incompatibilities between commerce systems and customer ICT systems. It enables customers to implement online commerce systems that will allow them to respond to their clients in a timely manner.
Fujitsu will also provide maintenance support from their jointly operated SaaS centre, thereby relieving customers from having to manage their system operations on their own.
According to Fujitsu, the new service makes business processes visual and supports compliance functions. It makes the transaction data visible, reducing the work involved with handling customer inquiries. By shifting verbal or fax transactions online, clients can reduce the number of operations involved in handling a transaction.
The service comes with a flexible fee system and support for user-customisation, which helps customers keep their monthly costs low by paying only for the required number of user IDs and transaction volumes. It allows users to update on-screen titles and field names to suit their commercial requirements, the company said.
In addition, the WebSERVE smart e-COMMERCE works on any internet-connected PC running on Windows XP or Vista, and IE 6.0 or 7.0. With access to information on out-of-stock items derived from transaction data, the system can also help minimise lost sales opportunities, Fujitsu added.
