To promote eco-design and conform to environmental compliance
Great Wall Motor, a commercial pickup and sport utility vehicle manufacturer in China, has chosen Dassault Systemes’s Enovia Materials Compliance Central business-process application to establish an enterprise-wide compliance platform to promote eco-design.
According to Dassault Systemes (DS), the application which is being deployed in partnership with D&A Technology (Shanghai), a DS partner in China, will improve Great Wall Motor Company’s (GWM’s) competitiveness in a new era where environmental compliance is a basic requirement and a key strategy in GWM expanding its global presence.
DS said that, based on the Enovia V6 platform, Enovia Materials Compliance Central is designed to allow companies to adopt proactive environmental compliance strategies throughout a product’s lifecycle, from design to disposal. This application provides automobile companies like GWM with material verification solutions.
Enovia Materials Compliance Central provides better search mechanisms and analytical capabilities to verify whether the materials in the entire product lifecycle meet the requirements of the relevant regional and global regulations, enabling enterprises to collect, sort and generate part-level material verification reports and material composition data easily, added DS.
Li ShuLi, deputy president of R&D centre at GWM, said: The deployment of DS’s Enovia Materials Compliance Central represents a significant investment enabling us to proactively manage all of the reporting and analysis requirements for all of the thousands of parts and multitude of suppliers involved in the development of our products.
