App’s darker theme shares a resemblance to Spotify.
Microsoft has redesigned its music app for Windows 10, with many drawing comparisons to the design of rival service Spotify.
The darker theme has a striking resemblance to Spotify, with musicians and bands featured in flat circles that can be searched from within the app.
It also features recent tracks on the side and a redesigned hamburger menu on the left.
The company unveiled the preview of the new music app for Windows 10 in late March, which showed Tile-like UI to show artist category.
Microsoft‘s existing music preview app for Windows 10 looks and feels similar to the one available for Windows 8 with a white theme.
However, Microsoft can change the design of the app again as it has not launched the user interface (UI) in the Music preview for Windows 10.
Microsoft may also part ways with Xbox branding for its music and video apps, as previously two music and video apps for Windows 10 were debuted without the Xbox brand name.
