Features 3-D and cooling technologies
HP has revealed three new consumer notebook PCs – the Envy 17 3D, Pavilion dm3 and Wireless TV Connect- that feature advanced 3-D and cooling technologies.
The 17-inch Envy 17 3D notebook PC features 2 terabytes of storage capacity, quad-core Intel Core i7 processors, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 discrete graphics and ATI Eyefinity Technology for multiple external display support.
The consumer PC embodies advanced 3-D technology as well as Beats Audio and a Triple Bass Reflex subwoofer, and supports 1080p 3-D and Blu-ray for maximum sensory appeal.
The 3D notebook PC comes with 3D Active Shutter Glasses that wirelessly synchronise each frame of the 3-D content between the display and the glasses.
HP’s new Envy 14 Beats Edition includes Intel Core processors and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics.
It also features Beats Audio; Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Adobe Premiere Elements 8 software for photo and video editing on select models.
Each Envy 14 Beats Edition comes with Beats by Dr. Dre Solo Headphones from Monster with ControlTalk.
The company’s new Pavilion dm3 notebook PC features a 13.3-inch diagonal HD display, CoolSense Technology that automatically adjusts cooling levels, and Thermal Assistant software that detects how the PC is being used.
HP said that its Wireless TV Connect allows customers to wirelessly stream 1080p HD multimedia content, from the notebook PC to a TV or home entertainment center.
The new PC fully supports protected content such as Blu-ray and DVD movies, and the notebook adapter is powered off the USB port, freeing up the user to sit anywhere in the room.
HP vice president and general manager of Consumer Notebooks Kevin Frost said that with the new technology and design enhancements, they are offering customers visually stunning entertainment and an overall better computing experience.
