REL expects to reduce annual power costs by 30% to 35%
IBM has signed a $3.1m IT infrastructure services agreement with Religare Enterprises, an integrated financial services group in India.
Under the agreement, IBM will deploy three energy-efficient and green scalable modular data centers. IBM will be designing, building and maintaining highly scalable, modular and energy-efficient green data centers in Delhi, Noida and Mumbai for Religare Enterprises (REL).
In addition, IBM is expected to put in place the networking infrastructure and a disaster recovery system for the financial services group. The system implemented by IBM is expected to help REL reduce annual power costs by 30% to 35% and enable it to effectively meet technology requirements of the company’s expanding business.
