Office 365 Personal is available at a subscription price of $6.99 per month.
Microsoft has introduced a new, cheaper version of its Office 365 service, the Office 365 Personal, which comes with an individual subscription.
Office 365 Personal is available at a subscription price of $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year to offer access to the Office 2013 applications for Windows along with the ability to install and use it on Mac as well as mobile operating systems.
?Microsoft senior marketing manager Chris Schneider said in a blog post that the company recognises that there are households of all shapes and sizes and it is committed to deliver the right Office for everyone.
"We’re committed to delivering a great Office experience to all of our customers and believe that giving you a choice about the Office 365 subscription that fits your unique needs is one way we can do that."
The company will also continue to sell the $9.99 per month Office 365 Home Premium, which enables user to use the product across five systems, while the Office 365 Personal comes as single use product.
Additionally, the users will be provided with all the subscription benefits including 60 minutes of Skype calling per month, 20GB of additional OneDrive storage as well as updated version of Office with the products.
According to the company, it currently has 3.5 million Office 365 subscribers including businesses ad individuals.
