Software to ensure stringent monitoring of malicious activity
Solidcore Systems has announced that NSS Labs is utilizing the company’s runtime control and whitelisting software to secure its live testing infrastructure.
NSS Labs is using Solidcore to ensure test systems remain clean from malware and exploits, and to provide additional monitoring of malicious activity, said Solidcore.
Rick Moy, president of NSS Labs, said: In our live testing we subject endpoint protection products to a brutal battery of malware and exploits. It is critical that we both protect and monitor the testing environment in order to properly assess the effectiveness of the tested services. After testing Solidcore in our lab, we quickly found it extremely well suited to ensuring system integrity and malware protection with very low overhead.
Rosen Sharma, chief technology officer for Solidcore, said: Having the leader in independent security testing and certification use your product to protect such a threat-rich environment says a lot, and we are honored to be working with NSS Labs to ensure an uncompromised testing environment. This reinforces the shift we are seeing in how people are thinking about endpoint security and how runtime control will soon become the only truly effective approach for comprehensively preventing malware with zero performance overhead.
NSS Labs augments its substantial in-house tools and intellectual property with best-of-breed security analysis servcies through numerous industry technology partnerships.
