To offer data protection, recovery sites, annual testing and network provision
Onyx Group, a technology services provider, has struck a new deal with MWB, a provider of serviced office space in the UK, to provide business continuity support to clients.
Onyx has two recovery sites in the North East with over 350 seats and has recently installed improved air conditioning and climate change control systems alongside a power generator.
According to the deal, MWB will work with Onyx to deliver business continuity support to clients, providing data protection, recovery sites to cover any eventuality, annual testing and full IT and network provision, said Onyx.
The company added that in the event of an incident such as a flood, fire or communication failure when a business cannot access its offices, the Onyx Recover package ensures that businesses can run as normal from managed facilities and data can be accessed from the business network.
Onyx Group business continuity and risk management managing director James Carver expects the deal with MWB will provide Onyx with an extended outreach into the UK market – especially London.
Carver said, "MWB has over 40 sites in London providing instant, readily accessible back up for those who need it and allows businesses to ensure they have safeguards in place so that they don’t suffer as a result of any disaster that might occur. For example, Onyx can now support those preparing for the potential London 2012 Olympic disruptions by offering them bespoke recovery packages."
