Simplifies and boosts development of integration projects
Oracle has unveiled Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack 11gR1 that enables partners and customers to start new application integration projects on Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g.
Beyond support for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, the new foundation pack simplifies and speeds development of integration projects for business analysts, architects, developers, and application owners, the company said.
According to Oracle, definition and proposal of new services are captured through the decomposition of business process models by architects in an integration project workbench and creation of new services are automated for developers through wizards and templates. It also creates a comprehensive ‘bill-of-materials’ capturing the dependencies between services and the auto-generation of deployment plans based on the customer’s environment.
The AIA Foundation Pack 11gR1 provides customers and partners with access to more than 130 pre-built enterprise business objects and more than 1,200 enterprise business services. It enables companies to standardise enterprise integration efforts around a common framework and methodology, helping improve development productivity, service portfolio management, and SOA governance, Oracle said.
AIA Foundation Pack Extension for Insurance includes new Enterprise Business Objects as well as expanding content coverage to support additional processes. AIA provides an open, standards-based approach for organisations to integrate cross-application business processes, leveraging a range of custom, Oracle or third-party applications, the company said.
Suite Michael Weingartner, vice president of development for AIA and SOA at Oracle, said:Designed to promote rapid deployment, re-usability and configurability of business processes, Oracle AIA Foundation Pack 11gR1 saves time, effort and cost compared to building integrations from the ground up, while realising the value of a sustainable, enterprise-class SOA.
