To enhance performance of business applications
Oracle has announced the availability of its new middleware product suite Fusion Middleware 11g that reportedly enhances the performance of business applications while enabling organisations to use new hardware and software architectures for IT execution.
The company claims that its new suite offers increased functionality across its product portfolio, including new capabilities in its SOA, WebLogic, WebCenter suites and Identity Management.
According to the company, the new offering integrates application infrastructure requirements for simplified development, SOA, cloud computing, business process transformation, service-oriented security, enhanced collaboration and IT governance.
Thomas Kurian, senior vice president of server technologies at Oracle, said: “With the release of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, more than 90,000 current customers gain a foundation for innovation to further differentiate their organisations from competitors and efficiently identify and respond to changes in their business. Offering further integrations within and across the product line and major technical innovations in every product category, Oracle is helping customers realise the promise of modern IT efficiency.”
Its SOA suite 11g provides a single process platform – unifying system, human and document-centric processes and an Event Driven Architecture (EDA) with SOA capabilities from development to security and governance.
Its WebCenter suite 11g provides WebCenter Services components that can be plugged into portals such as intranet, composite application and web-based community.
Its Identity Management 11g integrates with other Fusion Middleware products.
The new offering also builds on its earlier announced Fusion Middleware 11g development tools including JDeveloper, Application Development Framework and TopLink.
