Portaltech powers Long Tall Sally’s e-commerce business
Fashion retailer Long Tall Sally has braced up its online store in time to promote its Christmas stock, by migrating to Portaltech’s e-commerce platform QuickLive Commerce.
Long Tall Sally designs and sells dresses for women of 5ft 8 and above. Its collection includes soft tailoring, statement dresses, coats, tops and denim along with accessories such as hats, costume jewellery, boots and shoes available in sizes 7-11. Apart from its online shop, the retailer has 21 high street stores in the UK.
With the new e-commerce system, Long Tall Sally expects to take up promotional activities, offer its customers ‘buy the look’ and ‘complete the look’ functionality, and provide a user review system that will enable the buyer to rate products.
Andrew Shapin, managing director at Long Tall Sally, said: “The enhanced functionality and flexibility provided by QuickLive Commerce means that we are now able to manage our online, catalogue and retail channels in the UK, US and Europe effectively. It also means that we now have a customisable, scalable e-commerce platform in place, enabling us to launch multi-currency, multi-language and multi-brand sites.”
Portaltech has developed QuickLive in partnership with commerce and communication software vendor hybris. Portaltech designs, develops and integrates e-commerce software of big brands, such as ATG and IBM.
The technology consultancy has helped Sony and the BBC set up their online ventures. Its other clients include The Body Shop, bol.com, Phillips, Premier Farnell, The Royal Mail Group and Vodafone.
