The company has changed the design of the frame of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 model
Samsung Electronics said that it would launch a redesigned version of its 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab model in Germany in this week, following the original model’s ban for patent infringement accusations by iPad maker Apple.
According to a Samsung spokesperson in Germany, the company has changed the design of the frame of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 model and the location of its speaker and rechristened it the "Galaxy Tab 10.1 N" in Germany. He added that the model was modified to reflect Apple’s claims.
Apple and Samsung have been engaged in a legal battle worldwide since Apple sued Samsung in the United States in April, saying the South Korean company’s Galaxy line of mobile phones and tablets "slavishly" copied the iPhone and iPad.
Apple obtained preliminary injunctions against some Samsung products in Germany, Australia and the Netherlands after it accused
Samsung of "slavishly" copying iPhone and iPad through its Galaxy line of mobile phones and tablets.
Last month, Samsung was forced into upgrading three of its smartphones to skirt temporary sales bans on earlier versions of products that had allegedly violated an Apple patent as per Dutch Court.
