Shoppers Stop, a chain of retail stores in India, has selected the Netezza data warehouse appliance to provide faster sales data analytics for its expanding retail operations throughout India.
The Netezza appliance is expected to provide deep analytics on sales data and help Shoppers Stop better manage its loyalty card program, ‘First Citizen’. Shoppers Stop will also use the Netezza appliance for campaign management and complex analytics on all of its data.

Recently the company announced that the Navy Exchange Service Command, has selected the Netezza data warehouse appliance as its enterprise data warehouse (EDW). The Netezza EDW analyzes data from NEXCOM’s global network of 305 stores and 1,200 service operations located on 104 naval installations. NEXCOM is a world-wide $2.5 billion chain of retail stores and hotels that offer services for active-duty sailors, reservists, retirees and their family members.
