Users can make adjustments to their power and memory by migrating their hosted offering to a powerful machine
SingleHop, a provider of IT infrastructure and web hosting, has launched new Cascade cloud hosting platform that the company says brings the benefits of traditional dedicated server hosting and cloud computing advancements together into a new system.
The company said its new platform combines the flexibility of cloud computing with the dedicated processing resources of traditional dedicated servers into a single platform, the company said.
The Users of Cascade will now be able to access the benefits of cloud hosting without sacrificing the familiarity, stability, security, and reliability of dedicated server technology. It will be offered as an add-on service for SingleHop’s managed and unmanaged dedicated servers.
The company claims, Cascade users will be able to make real-time adjustments to their processing power and memory by migrating their hosted offering to a powerful machine when needed.
Cascade users will maintain control of their servers and have the security of knowing that their applications are running on their own machines and not on shared grid-computing environments, while enjoying the benefits of cloud hosting.
Users may administer their Cascade servers through SingleHop’s LEAP management system and through the LEAP API.
SingleHop chief operating officer Andy Pace said Cascade enables dedicated servers the self-healing benefits of cloud computing where users have their environments, but no longer experience downtime with hardware failures.
