Claims to combine data quality, data governance and master data management software into one platform
Stibo Systems has released an enterprise master data management (MDM) platform STEP version 5.1, which it claims to combine data quality, data governance and master data management software into one platform.
The company claims that the STEP data quality application enables data cleansing with fewer errors, minimising the burden placed on the business user. It is also integrating the Datactics data quality engine as an optional component within its STEP master data management software suite.
The company said that the configurable user interface enhances searching and cleansing of duplicate records in large data sets. It also ensures accuracy across many different data domains such as customer, product, vendor and location data.
According to Stibo Systems, the enhancements of the new version include, a component that connects STEP to the Global Data Synchronization Network for sharing data between trading partners; enhanced integration APIs for ease of implementation and development; business rules management to provide rule-based decision making within the core STEP MDM platform; an automated print publishing tools based on the company’s multichannel publishing capabilities and updated support for latest generation of database and application server platforms.
Mikael Lyngsø, CEO of Stibo Systems, said: “We are working closely with our customers to deliver a complete solution for master data management. Poor data quality is a pervasive and far reaching issue that continues to hamper business performance across industries.
“Many companies’ efforts to improve data quality are met with high costs and mixed results. However, with the addition of the Datactics engine, our customers can reduce MDM risk and costs while achieving a much greater degree of information integrity.”
