Firefox has released version 33.0 browser for Android and for desktops including Linux, Mac, and Windows.
The new update includes performance upgrades, bug fixes along with improvements in the mobile version of the browser which is designed to bridge the gap between the browsing experience of mobile and desktop.
With Firefox for Android users can send web pages from Android to streaming enabled Roku and Chromecast devices to view the content on a larger screen.
Android users can send videos being played in the mobile browser to Chromecast via ‘send to device’ icon which is present in the video playback controls and the URL bar.
However, the connection can only be made if the devices use the same Wi-Fi network.
Other features include list of recently closed tabs, undo closed tabs and close all taps on one go.
Mozilla users will also be able to sync mobile and desktop platforms by changing the settings.
The desktop version is also supports OpenH264 for WebRTC-based video chat, but to enable the feature, users will have to download an addition binary component from Cisco.
