Vocollect Healthcare Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vocollect, and PointClickCare, a provider of electronic health records and business office software, have announced that AccuNurse voice-assisted care can now interface with PointClickCare’s clinical software.
AccuNurse was developed with the support from the National Institutes of Health, which interfaces with Voice-Directed dialogues. With this system, caregivers are talked through resident care plans, replacing paper records and other data capture methods. The Vocollect Healthcare Systems team has refined AccuNurse in collaboration with Kendal, which hosted the first AccuNurse implementation.
Vocollect claims that the interface between PointClickCare and AccuNurse reduces the information overlap between clinical software and resident point-of-care information. PointClickCare will provide admissions, discharge, and transfer information from its clinical software directly to AccuNurse. Vocollect Healthcare Systems’s interface will automatically populate the MDS application with AccuNurse’s documentation.
Mike Wessinger, CEO of PointClickCare, said: Communities want additional interface options for streamlining admissions, ensuring accuracy of data, and becoming more automated with regard to MDS reporting. The interface with AccuNurse allows to expand the eco-system of partner products that customers can take advantage of to complement their PointClickCare implementation.
James Quasey, president of Vocollect Healthcare Systems, said: With the AccuNurse integration, PointClickCare customers can deliver higher levels of care to their residents with voice-assisted care. Together, we are committed to providing LTC communities with streamlined information management resulting in improved staffing efficiency, accurate documentation, and seamless data transfer.
