Internet security company Check Point has released Full Disk Encryption for Mac OS X, the first full disk encryption software with pre-boot authentication.
The software features automatic and transparent operation, centralized management, and multi-certified cryptography engine. The company said its encryption products support Windows, Linux, and Mac OS-based laptops, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm, and PocketPC-based smartphones and PDAs.
Bob Egner, vice president of product management at Check Point, said: Enterprises and organizations have to secure 100% of their laptops and desktops to be fully protected. Whether a mixed environment consisting of Windows, Linux, and Mac-based computers or a network comprised of a single OS, Check Point Full Disk Encryption provides total security to customers.
