Allows smart card access to protected resources
ClearCube Technology, a provider of centralised computing, has launched I9424 PCoIP zero client with integrated smart card reader.
ClearCube said that its I9424 client works for task and knowledge workers utilising VMware virtual machines and powers users connecting to PCoIP blade workstations resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.
According to ClearCube, the new PCoIP zero client allows smart card access to protected resources once the PCoIP session is established. It comes in a tamper-proof rugged case with the option of custom colours and includes a port for a Kensington lock for additional physical security.
The company said that it will support initiation of the PCoIP session itself via smart card authorisation in the future.
Randy Printz, CEO of ClearCube Technology, said: Governments around the globe have come to rely on ClearCube for secure computing solutions. They have unique requirements and we work closely with them to fulfill those requirements with innovative solutions like the I9424 VMware Ready PCoIP zero client with integrated Smart Card reader.
