The Android device is suffering from volume issues
Google and Samsung have admitted their flagship Android device, the Galaxy Nexus, is suffering from volume issues.
Both the companies have said they are preparing a fix, but have not mentioned when it will arrive.
Users have complained on Android forums of sudden losses in volume while using the phone, with some of them reporting that the issues became worse while using the 2G network.
The XDA Developers, looking into the problem, say it is related to the Galaxy Nexus hardware.
They added on their blog post, "This only happens when the phone is on 2G connection (that is, when phone shows G (for GPRS) or E (for Edge) icons for connection). It only happens to phones that use 900Mhz for 2G coverage, which is majority of Europe. If you live in Europe, there’s a large chance you would be affected."
According to XDA estimates, about 60% of Galaxy Nexus owners in the UK are facing this issue.
